Emtec Southern was acquired by the Sauter Group, a privately owned 1 Billion Euro market leader in Building Automation systems and Smart Building Technology as part of its continued growth across Europe. This acquisition has been one of a series of purchases, which started in 2018 with the acquisition of Wren Environmental, a facility management company. This was followed in 2021 by the acquisition of Emtec Group.
Emtec is recognised as a leading M&E contractor in Scotland, with UK-wide divisions spanning facilities management, solar photovoltaic installation, fire systems and passive fire protection, utility services, and fit-out works. Most recently, the company expanded further with the addition of Electracom Projects, a well-established London-based specialist in Smart Building integration solutions.
Together with the well-established UK Sauter Automation business, the UK portfolio now delivers a turnover of more than £190M, positioning the group as one of the largest M&E and Building Services providers in the UK.
